Instagram has the ability to flag anything, literally anything related to Covid within seconds. Whether it’s a detailed post mentioning the word Covid or a simple story with a joke about it in.
Why oh why then are they so unprepared to do anything about people taking to social media to incite hatred and racial abuse?
Our actions on social media should be as accountable as our actions in day to day life but until the social media platforms do something, it’s up to us to take matters into our own hands!
From now on, if you see anything on any social platform that incites hatred or abuse, flag it and the account immediately!
Only when people truly feel the consequences of their actions will we see change online!
