Are you a pre-workout fan?
There’s a lot of stigma attached to using pre-workout, particularly on a regular basis but personally we love them.
As with all supplements it’s absolutely imperative that you study the label before adding a new addition to your supplement arsenal, particularly if you have any intolerances such as caffeine etc. where it goes without saying you will need to find a stimulant free pre-workout formula but nowadays most brands have a variation of informed-sport certified pre-workout in their range meaning whatever sport or training you’re doing you can take it safe in the knowledge that it falls in line with substances allowed in your sport.

(Studies have shown that athletes with higher levels of caffeine and taking adequate carbohydrates after training had 66% more glycogen in their muscles four hours after finishing intense glycogen-depleting exercise.
🔥 Creatine: many pre-workout formulas will include Creatine. Research suggests that supplementing with creatine can increase your body’s stored supply of this compound, helping to improve recovery time, muscle mass, strength, and exercise performance.
🔥 Flavours: there are some incredible and innovative flavours of pre-workout on the market. We find that switching up either our brand or simply the flavour of our pre-workout gives us a mental advantage ahead of those bigger sessions.
It must be said that pre-workout shouldn’t be your ‘go to’ supplement, giving yourself a break from it for just a couple of sessions a week will benefit you in the long run to avoid becoming reliant on it and also seeing increased benefits during those sessions where you have taken it to give you that mental edge!
